
Greece’s National Meteorological Service has issued a weather warning Wednesday noon about heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms and sharp temperature decrease. The extreme weather phenomena may be locally accompanied by hail-falls and powerful winds up to 7 Beaufort.
Meteorologists forecast sharp temperature drop by 9 degrees Celsius in northern Greece.
The bad weather front is coming from the West and will start affecting the Ionian islands as of Wednesday afternoon. It will reach the rest of the country, also the South-East in the following hours and days.
Hail-falls are forecast mainly in the Ionian Sea, West Sterea, Peloponnese, South Aegean and Crete from Thursday noon until the early morning hours of Friday, in Ionian and West Peloponnese also Friday noon and afternoon.

North winds will be blowing in the Aegean Sea with 6 Beaufort on Oct 30 and up to 7 B on Oct 31 and Nov 1. They will reach 4-5 B in the Ionian Sea on Oct 30 and 31 and up to 6-7 B on Nov 1.
Snowfalls are expected on the very high altitudes.

Saturday, Nov 2
The weather phenomena will weaken, expect in the Ionaian Sea and Thessaly where they will be strong
