Loukianos Kilaidonis

Greek Artists Join Forces and Sing Together ”I’ll Stay at Home!”

CULTURE

Many Greek artists, including famous singers and composers, participated in a remake of a popular old Loukianos Kilaidonis song titled ”Tha Kátso Spiti” (I’ll Stay at Home) in an attempt to create a happy, carefree moment for the nation which has been on lockdown for days.

Greek Premier Kyriakos Mitsotakis uploaded the song on his social media pages, saying that this was ”A great way to get the message across. To support those who fight at the front line, to stay healthy, to stay optimistic, and to stay at home!”

Greek singer Christos Mastoras

Kilaidonis was a Greek composer, songwriter and singer who died in 2017 at the age of 73.

The remake shows all the artists at their homes, following their everyday routines while in quarantine or the self-isolation imposed by the state as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

His first music work was the album ”Our City” back in 1970. Two years later he created the album ”Red Thread” with Nikos Gatsos, Manolis Mitsias and Dimitra Galani.
